I denna kurs studerar vi hur kristendom och islam historiskt påverkat statsmakten, och hur de påverkar dagens politik. Vi undersöker vilka utmaningar som religiösa minoriteter står inför och varför interreligiösa relationer leder till både konflikt och samverkan. Samspelet mellan religion och etnicitet, samt religionens roll i att utmana eller förstärka rasism, är ytterligare teman som undersöks.
