Borderline Ovarian Tumors Share Familial Risks with Themselves and Invasive Cancers

Background: Borderline ovarian tumors (BOTs) are a subgroup of ovarian malignancies with low malignant potential. Very limited earlier data are available on familial clustering of BOTs with other cancers. We aim to explore histology-specific familial associations among BOTs and associations between BOTs and any invasive cancers. Methods: On the basis of 16.1 million individuals in the Swedish Famil

A main focus has been on bibliometrics based evaluation practices. The use of bibliometrics for local resource allocation at Swedish universities

Making research data possible : negotiating between disciplinary cultures, temporalities, data policies, professional interests and education and training

The workshop brings together differing perspectives on what makes research data possible. How data is made represents an on-going negotiation between a number of elements. It reflects, firstly, the nature of disciplines and thecomplex way this is linked to cultures of research data and data sharing. Secondly, data is made across the complex temporalities within different practices of its managemen

Drawing from the leadership literature, they develop the idea of strategic improvisation. Strategic impr

Derivation of the Derjaguin approximation for the case of inhomogeneous solvents

The Derjaguin approximation (DA) relates the force between curved surfaces to the interaction free energy between parallel planes. It is typically derived by considering the direct interaction between the bodies involved, thus treating the effect of an intervening solvent implicitly by a rescaling of the corresponding Hamaker constant. Here, we provide a generalization of DA to the case of a molec
