Detta examensarbete ger ett förslag på en ny järnvägsstation i Kirunas nya centrum. I Kiruna pågår just nu en stadsomvandling, där en tredjedel av staden flyttas tre kilometer österut på grund av markdeformationer från Kirunagruvan.
