Dans ce débat, un troisième mode d’acquisition, enfant L2 ou bilThis dissertation describes the development of Voice Onset Time (VOT) and liaison in child second language (cL2) French (L1: Swedish) as compared to simultaneous Swedish-French bilinguals (2L1) and monolingual (1L1) French children. VOT is studied in both languages but liaison only exists in French. Differences between L1 and L2 phonology have previously been attributed to a sensitive period for l

Carbon dioxide and water fluxes in Sudan and Senegal
In many of the northern ecosystems, temperature is a strongly regulating factor of vegetation activity. During the warm summer activity and productivity are high, whereas during the cooler winter the vegetation activity is lower. In semi arid Africa, however, it is water availability, not temperature, that is the main regulating factor. Monitoring the vegetation productivityDuring photosynthesis p

Rhesus monkey gastric mucins: oligomeric structure, glycoforms and Helicobacter pylori binding
Mucins isolated from the stomach of Rhesus monkey are oligomeric glycoproteins with a similar mass, density, glycoform profile and tissue localization as human MUC5AC and MUC6. Antibodies raised against the human mucins recognize those from monkey, which thus appear to be orthologous to those from human beings. Rhesus monkey muc5ac and muc6 are produced by the gastric-surface epithelium and glands

Superstition and magical thinking are omnipresent in football, whatever the cultural context. In order to gain a better understanding the origin of the irrational beliefs that seem closely linked to the game, starting with some confessions of superstitious fans, the article draws on the tentative responses provided by anthropology, the philosophy of absurdism, and the sociology of religion. It con
Platelet Activation and Aggregation Induced by Streptococcus bovis/Streptococcus equinus Complex
Streptococcus bovis/Streptococcus equinus complex (SBSEC) is a common cause of infective endocarditis (IE). For IE-pathogens, the capacity to activate and aggregate platelets is believed to be an important virulence mechanism. While the interactions between bacteria and platelets have been described in detail for many Gram-positive pathogens, little research has been carried out with SBSEC in this
