Editorial: This focus is dedicated to a special trend on the scenes of contemporary music: composers going on stage to perform their own pieces. The presented articles were developed during my research project 'The Creator on Stage'. They can be read as selection of perspectives, commentaries, analyses, reflections and gained knowledge-production on the topic. The intention with the project was part

The totality of microbial genomes in the gut exceeds the size of the human genome, having around 500-fold more genes that importantly complement our coding potential. Microbial genes are essential for key metabolic processes, such as the breakdown of indigestible dietary fibres to short-chain fatty acids, biosynthesis of amino acids and vitamins, and production of neurotransmitters and hormones. We present a data-driven interpolation method, based on extended structure tensors. The method uses directional information, extracted from the crossline derivative of the pressure field, to interpolate both pressure field and its normal (depth) derivative. Here we focus on the interpolation of the normal derivative.

We present a data-driven method, based on extended structure tensors, that interpolates multicomponent, marine seismic data. The method is designed to interpolate pressure measurements and their normal derivatives using directional information from the crossline derivative of the pressure field.

This paper describes the algorithms for the reconstruction and identification of electrons in the central region of the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). These algorithms were used for all ATLAS results with electrons in the final state that are based on the 2012 pp collision data produced by the LHC at s = 8 TeV. The efficiency of these algorithms, together with the charge miside

Measurements of top quark spin observables in tt¯ events are presented based on 20.2 fb−1 of s=8 TeV proton-proton collisions recorded with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The analysis is performed in the dilepton final state, characterised by the presence of two isolated leptons (electrons or muons). There are 15 observables, each sensitive to a different coefficient of the spin density matrix of
