Vi besitter systematisk kunskap, baserad på empirisk forskning, om både hur finansiella förhållanden stimulerar ekonomisk tillväxt och utveckling, och om finansiella kriser och hur sådana kriser kan mildras eller undvikas. Vår forskning är indelad i tre huvudkategorier: Finansväsende och makroekonomi; Försäkrings- och pensionssystem samt; Politisk ekonomi och dess inverkan på penning- och finansföWe provide systematic knowledge based on empirical research on both how finance spurs economic growth and development, and on financial crises and how such crises can be mitigated, or avoided.
