RIFM fragrance ingredient safety assessment, dihydrocarvyl acetate, CAS Registry Number 20777-49-5

The existing information supports the use of this material as described in this safety assessment. Dihydrocarvyl acetate was evaluated for genotoxicity, repeated dose toxicity, reproductive toxicity, local respiratory toxicity, phototoxicity/photoallergenicity, skin sensitization, and environmental safety. Data from read-across analogs dihydrocarveol (isomer unspecified) (CAS # 619-01-2) and aceti

PEPPA - Exchange Platform for Measurements of Occupational Physical Activity and Physical Workload

Technical measurements allow an objective assessment of MSD risk factors at work. There is a need for common standards regarding data collection and processing, as well as an exchange platform storing measurement data of occupational physical activity and workload for further analysis. Several research institutes started a feasibility study to work on developing standards for assessment of risk fa

Targeting TUBG1 in RB1-negative tumors

The disruption of microtubule dynamics serves as a pivotal strategy for eliminating tumor cells, despite its accompanying toxicities affecting non-tumor cells. This study investigates the potential of selectively targeting γ-tubulin1 (TUBG1) as a therapeutic strategy in cancer treatment. By elucidating the TUBG1-E2F1-retinoblastoma protein (RB1) network, we introduce a novel compound, 4-(6-((3-Met

K2-99 : A subgiant hosting a transiting warm Jupiter in an eccentric orbit and a long-period companion

We report the discovery from K2 of a transiting planet in an 18.25-d, eccentric (0.19 ± 0.04) orbit around K2-99, an 11th magnitude subgiant in Virgo. We con- firm the planetary nature of the companion with radial velocities, and determine that the star is a metal-rich ([Fe/H] = 0.20 ± 0.05) subgiant, with mass 1.60+0.14 -0.10 M⊙ and radius 3.1 ± 0.1 R⊙. The planet has a mass of 0.97 ± 0.09 MJup a

K2-139 b : A low-mass warm Jupiter on a 29-d orbit transiting an active K0 V star

We announce the discovery of K2-139 b (EPIC 218916923 b), a transiting warm-Jupiter (Teq = 547± 25 K) on a 29-d orbit around an active (logR' HK =-4.46±0.06) K0V star in K2 Campaign 7.We derive the system's parameters by combining the K2 photometry with groundbased follow-up observations. With a mass of 0.387 -0.033+0.075 MJ and radius of 0.808 -0.033+0.034 RJ, K2-139 b is one of the transiting wa

RIFM fragrance ingredient safety assessment, butyl 10-undecenoate, CAS Registry Number 109-42-2

Butyl 10-undecenoate was evaluated for genotoxicity, repeated dose toxicity, reproductive toxicity, local respiratory toxicity, phototoxicity/photoallergenicity, skin sensitization, and environmental safety. Data from read-across analog methyl undec-10-enoate (CAS # 111-81-9) show that butyl 10-undecenoate is not expected to be genotoxic. Data on butyl 10-undecenoate and read-across analog methyl

Human G-MDSCs are neutrophils at distinct maturation stages promoting tumor growth in breast cancer

Myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) are known to contribute to immune evasion in cancer. However, the function of the human granulocytic (G)-MDSC subset during tumor progression is largely unknown, and there are no established markers for their identification in human tumor specimens. Using gene expression profiling, mass cytometry, and tumor microarrays, we here demonstrate that human G-MDSC

Comprehensive genetic characterization of pediatric T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia

A comprehensive genetic characterization comprising conventional chromosome banding, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), and single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) array analyses as well as large-scale sequencing of 75 genes were performed on a consecutive series of 47 pediatric T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) patients. An abnormal karyotype was identified in 46% of the cases. Rec

Time-resolved photoelectron imaging of complex resonances in molecular nitrogen

We have used the FERMI free-electron laser to perform time-resolved photoelectron imaging experiments on a complex group of resonances near 15.38 eV in the absorption spectrum of molecular nitrogen, N2, under jet-cooled conditions. The new data complement and extend the earlier work of Fushitani et al. [Opt. Express 27, 19702–19711 (2019)], who recorded time-resolved photoelectron spectra for this

Cartilage-binding antibodies induce pain through immune complex-mediated activation of neurons

Rheumatoid arthritis-associated joint pain is frequently observed independent of disease activity, suggesting unidentified pain mechanisms. We demonstrate that antibodies binding to cartilage, specific for collagen type II (CII) or cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP), elicit mechanical hypersensitivity in mice, uncoupled from visual, histological and molecular indications of inflammation. C

Hybrid Mismatch Arrangements Within EU: Under what Conditions could Single Taxation Be Secured?

The purpose of the thesis is to analyse the problems of hybrid mismatch arrangements within the EU and how single taxation, which requires income to be taxed once, not more or less, can be secured under EU law. After the amendments of the Parent-Subsidiary Directive (PSD), where an anti-hybrid rule was enacted, the legal environment for companies within the European Union changed. Parent compani

Developmental Robots – A New Paradigm Juyang Weng Yilu Zhang Department of Computer Science and Engineering Michigan State University East Lansing, MI 48824 {weng, zhangyil}@cse.msu.edu Abstract It has been proved to be extremely challeng- ing for humans to program a robot to such a sufficient degree that it acts properly in a typical unknown human environment. This is especially true for a humano
