1_Alveteg2021corrected 2_mod LTHs 11:e Pedagogiska Inspirationskonferens, 9 december 2021 Abstract—Conspiracy theories, labelling unwanted facts as "fake news", and coming up with your own alternative facts are trends that seem to have exploded in recent years. As academically trained individuals we might shake our heads at the folly of the general public, but perhaps we are, at least partially, t

Märta Måås-Fjetterström och främlingarna i hörnet: En studie om textila signaturer och det kollektiva konstverket

Märta Måås-Fjetterström’s textile career was largely based on a collective effort. As a textile artist in her own workshop, she drew patterns that she let employed weavers weave. Together with a few other artists, she helped elevate the craft – the carpet – to the realm of art, by signing her works early on. After Märta Måås-Fjetterström’s death, Barbro Nilsson took over the role as artistic direc

The hinge-engineered IgG1-IgG3 hybrid subclass IgGh47 potently enhances Fc-mediated function of anti-streptococcal and SARS-CoV-2 antibodies

Streptococcus pyogenes can cause invasive disease with high mortality despite adequate antibiotic treatments. To address this unmet need, we have previously generated an opsonic IgG1 monoclonal antibody, Ab25, targeting the bacterial M protein. Here, we engineer the IgG2-4 subclasses of Ab25. Despite having reduced binding, the IgG3 version promotes stronger phagocytosis of bacteria. Using atomic

The feasibility of climate action : Bridging the inside and the outside view through feasibility spaces

The feasibility of different options to reduce the risks of climate change has engaged scholars for decades. Yet there is no agreement on how to define and assess feasibility. We define feasible as “do-able under realistic assumptions.” A sound feasibility assessment is based on causal reasoning; enables comparison of feasibility across climate options, contexts, and implementation levels; and ref

Methodological Approaches to Composing Ethnography, and Creating Alternative Forms of Value in Tourism Research

Keynote paper The point of departure for this lecture lies in the insight that tourism research is uniquely positioned at the juncture of applied and scholarly research. Straffrättslig nödrätt - Försvarlighetsbedömningen i 24 kap. 4 § BrB

Necessity is a justification rule in 24th chapter 4 § in the Swedish Penal Code (Sw. brottsbalken). The clause is applicable when a danger threatens life, health, property or another interest that is protected by the legal system. An act committed in an emergency is seen as a crime only if it, with regard to the nature of the danger, the damage that is caused and the other circumstances, is unjust

Rättsfallet handlade om alternativ kausalitet i form av alternativa dödsorsakThe concept of causation in criminal law has been discussed mainly in legal doctrine, since there is no legal definition, and the amount of case law regard ing the concept is limited, in Sweden. In 2024, a decision was made, NJA 2024 s. 36, where the Swedish Supreme Court explicitly discussed the con cept of causation for the first time. The case was about alternative causality in the terms of
