Fenomenet medarbetarupplevelse

Medarbetarupplevelse (employee satisfaction or employee experience) is an organizational phenomenon that has become an ascending work-process within the HR-profession. Through five interviews with various HR-practitioners, we managed to answer this essay’s three framing questions: 1) How can medarbetarupplevelse be defined? 2) Which essential and mutual factors can we identify in the interviews?

Examining Climate Injustices in Swedish Mining Policies

This paper aims to examine whether instances of climate injustice faced by the Sami community are acknowledged and given priority in Sweden's efforts to mitigate climate change. The study centers on mining, which has a complex relationship spanning both current issues and historical tensions between Sami interests and governmental ambitions. The paper will take a postcolonial approach, with a

Winners of War: The effect of the Russo-Ukrainian war on European defense firms' stock prices

This thesis studies the impact of the war in Ukraine on stock prices of firms within the European defense industry. While previous studies have examined the effects of war on stock prices of defense firms, fewer studies specifically focus on the war in Ukraine. Furthermore, this thesis focuses solely on European defense firms, offering a new geographical perspective to the topic. Additionally, the

Hur skolbibliotekariens roll påverkas när skolan väljer att implementera 1 till 1

In Sweden, implementation of one-to-one computing in schools is a very current subject, because more and more schools decide to make an implementation. The goals are to improve the study results of the students and in a higher degree be able to individualize the education after the needs of every pupil. The purpose of this thesis is to study how an implementation of one-to-one computing will affe

Radiobiological optimization including consideration of secondary cancer risk A treatment modality comparison study for pediatric medulloblastoma

Purpose: To estimate and compare normal tissue toxicity and secondary cancer (SC) risks from 3D conformal radiotherapy (3D CRT), arc radiotherapy (ART) and intensity modulated proton therapy (IMPT) for treatment of pediatric medulloblastoma (MB). The purpose was also to investigate the possibility of optimizing radiotherapy treatment with the aim of reducing normal tissue toxicity as well as the r

Democratization and War - The Relation between Democratization and Conflicts in Georgia

This paper examines the relation between violent conflicts and democratization in Georgia. Since independence in 1991, Georgia has grown towards increased democratization but within the political transition, many obstacles, in form of violent conflicts and war have threatened the country. In the Democratization and War theory, Mansfield & Snyder argues that increased democracy increases the ri

Gentrifying Practices Affecting Youths’ Habitats

While Sweden falls short in integrating youths growing up in segregated areas, these disadvantaged neighborhoods are more frequently imposed to profit-driven strategies that result in gentrification. This thesis aims to uncover how gentrification affects the lived experience that youths from disadvantaged areas have of their habitat. Choosing the case of Järva, Stockholm, the ways youths perceive

Cryogels Based on Crosslinked Cells as Green Biocatalysts for Biotechnology

Popular Abstract in English Popular science Microbial cells are small and difficult to handle in industrial processes, especially if they are to be reused subsequent batches. In order to make them easier to handle, these cells can be attached to a solid support, by so-called immobilization. This provides particles of sizes that are easy to filter and reuse. However, immobilization is associated wiAbstract Due to the finite nature of fossil resources and their environmental impact, such as greenhouse gases and climate change, the bio-based production of chemicals, materials and fuels is the subject of extensive research in industrial biotechnology. Biotransformation and fermentation are considered to be mild, “green” processes that make use of effective and reliable biocatalysts to provide

Gendering Environmental Reconstruction: A study of the gendered dimensions of UNEP’s environmental reconstruction assessments

As we are facing a future of more frequent and extreme weather events targeting primarily low income countries, research on effective and inclusive environmental reconstruction following these crises is vital. In this study, the gender inclusion of UNEP’s environmental reconstruction assessments is examined by looking at four cases in which the organisation has performed assessments on widely diff

Schizoid cynicism among fast-food restaurant workers

Based on an ethnographic case study, this paper offers a typology of how, and under what circumstances, employees at a fast food-restaurant are cynical. By conducting participant- and non-participant observations and 10 semi-structured interviews, combined with a document analysis, we sought to understand the social realities of employees at Berger. Thus, we have had an interpretive approach to re

An Analysis of the Role of Science & Technology and Economy Growth in Safeguarding China’s Food Security

This study contributes to the literature discussing food security in China. This study holds food security to rest on two complementary dimensions: food availability and food accessibility. This study looks at both dimensions. It examines the food availability dimension by evaluating the effects of government’s expenditures on agricultural science & technology on China’s grain output. Running

Emerging green steel markets surrounding the EU emissions trading system and carbon border adjustment mechanism

The global steel industry accounts for 8–10 % of global CO2 emissions and requires deep decarbonisation for achieving the targets set in the Paris Agreement. However, no low-emission primary steel production technology has yet been commercially feasible or deployed. Production of 45Ti using a low-energy accelerator

The purpose of this study was to obtain more knowledge of the parameters affecting the production of 45Ti utilizing the nuclear reaction 45Sc(p,n) 45Ti. Titanium-45 decays by +-decay and E.C. to 45Sc with a half-life of 3,08 h. These properties make the radionuclide suitable for positron emission tomography (PET).The work was carried out at the Department of Physics in Lund using the V
