I’m an archivist at the Folklife Archives with the Scania Music Collections. My working place is at Arkivcentrum Syd in Lund (ACS). In addition to the work of registration, archiving and documentation, the job provides guidance to researchers, students, artists, journalists and the public. Part of my day is also spent on audiovisual work, such as editing and digitizing audio and video.

I’m a musicologist (M.A.) and both my bachelor’s and master’s thesis was about "music to football". In subsequent articles, I have among other subjects written about basic structures in popular music. In such context, I'm particularly interested in different socio-cultural expressions. I'm also a musician and has worked as a music teacher.

I’m responsible for the Scania Music Collection’s website.

Research

My profile in Lund University research portal

The Folklife Archives with the Scania Music Collections is an institution that continously makes research preparatory documentations.

In april 2017 the archive published a questionnaire about music consumption. In march 2020 I published an article investigating the gathered material focusing on the usage of compact discs and vinyls.

The Scania Music Collections is currently running an independent project regarding the music and life of the Berndtsson family (”Berndtarna”). The research method includes field work and collections. I have published two articles on the subject (2016 & 2018). Supportive recordings will be conducted in 2020 and a third article on the subject is at the planning stage.

An earlier research project - “Nature for me” - was crowned with a book that came out in May 2014. I contributed two articles. The project was in collaboration with the Institute for Language and Folklore and the Nordic Museum. I was the contact person for the Folklife Archives and member of the group for alternative collection methods. The project's goal was to document people's different attitudes to nature. The background included discussions about UNESCO's call for the "Intangible Cultural Heritage".
