Southern Swedish Wall Hangings
Wall hangings are a form of painted decoration made on fabric, and from around 1800 also on paper. The tradition of these paintings can be traced back to the late Middle Ages, but flourished during the period 1750–1850. Research on this art form has been conducted by Dr. Elisabeth Berglin and Professor Nils-Arvid Bringéus.
